Blurb book

I actually feel like I have accomplished a lot from this blog now. There are times where I have to convince myself to start up the computer and blog about our life but seeing this book gives me renewed hope that it is all for a good cause. I want Charlotte to be able to look back at her life and not only see all that Bryce and I have done for her, but also what joy she gave us in doing it. Her life is now in book form from my pregnancy through her first birthday. It actually took me a lot of time to actually layout the book and re-arrange the photos to my liking but seeing it in printed form gives me such a feeling of accomplishment. I've always wanted to have my own book published!

I love Kappa Delta

I met some of my Kappa Delta sisters for lunch in Dahlonega and then we headed over to campus for RUSH. I was amazed out how much things have progressed in the few short years since I've been away but also struck with the feeling that things are much the same. I could totally see myself back in that place..singing the songs, getting emotional, and worrying about getting the "right" girls for our chapter. I will always have love in my heart for KD, she brought me some of my happiest memories in college and she was the bond that made me realize how important having friendship with other girls is. AOT, my sisters!

Snow Day 2010

We had a snow day here in Georgia for the second school year in a row. Apparently it was the ice more than the actual snow, but I will take whatever I can get! There is no better feeling than going to bed at night thinking you have a long day of work tomorrow and then waking up, checking the news, doing a little snow day dance, and jumping back in bed! Of course, babies don't know that snow day is supposed to mean sleeping in...but we had a great day together anyway. Charlotte is a true southerner already. She was completely unimpressed with the snow and she would not even touch it. If she could talk better I'm sure she would have said "I'm done now, can we go back inside where it is nice and warm?!".

She ventured after the dogs at first...but promptly ran back when she decided she doesn't like snow after all.....

This is her "I'm cold" face.

It's too hard to walk in all my layers Mom!

Catching rays with the doggies afterward....trying to warm up!

Thanks for the new drum set Uncle Charlie!

Finishing Up Winter Break

The biggest difference about this winter break is having to find something entertaining to do with a toddler between all the fun and excitement of Christmas and New Years.

First, we play baby doll with Lola.

We also made use of our annual pass and visited the Aquarium.

We made sure to say hello to the stingrays.

Last, we finished up with some arts and crafts. Charlotte wasn't too sure about the finger paint on her hands, but she did enjoy making a mess!
