The four of us were at the mall shopping one day and we made the dreaded mistake of going into the Disney Store. All we wanted was a new nightgown for Charlotte. We head to the back to look at the pjs and Charlotte picked up this HUGE stuffed Lady from Lady and the tramp. She was seriously dragging it through the store behind her. I didn't say anything about it until it was time for us to go, and I told Charlotte that that Lady was not for sale. It was TOO big for anyone's home. Truthfully, the price tag was just too big for our home! Charlotte sat down and cried the biggest, saddest alligator tears I have seen in a long time. It wasn't so much a tantrum as it was her heart was broken. She wanted that Lady. So, Bryce and I devised a "big girl chart". Charlotte had to fill out FOUR of them (a whole month) to get a big, big prize. She was on board at first, and then didn't seem to care any more, but towards the end of the month she started really working for those stickers again. We ended up having to do smaller ice cream type treats at the end of every week, but after four weeks most of the things we were working on had fixed themselves. It was mainly things like going to the bathroom as soon as she woke up, cleaning up her toys before bed time, and using words instead of throwing a tantrum.
